Chalkboard Pulls: the best cash terms we have read, on a price you cannot appeal

Chalkboard pays 100% of fair market value into a wallet you can withdraw from — the clearest cash route in the category. The same terms make Chalkboard the sole and “final and non-appealable” judge of that value.

  • No odds published
  • Cash-out verified
  • Short clock

§7.1 credits “one hundred percent (100%) of that Collectible's FMV,” and §9.2 lets that credit be withdrawn to an external payment method. §7.5 then says “FMV is determined by Chalkboard in its sole discretion utilizing proprietary methodologies and market data” and is “final and non-appealable.” §7.6 adds that the credit may be lower than the price you paid.

Why a 100% buyback is not the whole story

Twelve of the seventeen platforms we track advertise a buyback rate. The rate is the number in the marketing; the two things that decide what it is worth are whether the money can leave the platform, and who sets the value it is a percentage of. Chalkboard is the only platform we have read that is unambiguously best-in-class on the first and explicitly worst-case on the second.

The two questions that decide what a buyback is worth, across the platforms whose terms we have read, 2026-10-22.

Chalkboard Pulls100%Yes, ACH via AeropayChalkboard, sole discretionNo, “non-appealable”

MintPull100% ad.No, pack credit“Proprietary system”Not stated
Fast Rips100% ad.No per its termsInternal platform valuationNot stated

Read the top and bottom rows together. Chalkboard pays more than Fanatics, in money rather than credit, with no fee deducted. Fanatics pays less, in credit you cannot withdraw, against a number from a third-party sales database anyone can look up. Those are opposite trades, and which one is better depends on something neither platform publishes: how close each valuation actually lands to what the card sells for.

That is the open question on this entire site, and it is why no platform here carries a score yet. A rate is checkable from a document. A valuation is only checkable against real sold prices, and we have not yet verified a single platform's valuations against those.

The 24-hour clock

Section 7.3 gives you “one (1) twenty-four (24) hour period” from the pack purchase to request either shipping or a buyback. Do nothing and a Time-Based Buyback is processed at 100% of FMV, and the card is removed from your Binder. The window can pause for pending identity verification, pending or delayed shipping, or resolution of a lost, damaged or unavailable card.

The pause for identity verification matters more than it reads. Shipping a card requires a verified identity, so a first-time user who pulls something they want to keep is racing a clock while waiting on a verification queue. The terms do allow for that by pausing, which is better than not allowing for it — Pickem's three-hour timer makes no such provision.

The pattern we noted on the Pickem page holds again. The platforms paying the highest withdrawable rates — Packed and Chalkboard at 100%, Pickem at 90% — are the three with the shortest clocks. A platform that will reliably buy a card back does not want to hold inventory, and the clock is how it avoids that. You are being paid well in exchange for deciding fast.

The free pack is not free money

Chalkboard sends Free Packs as promotional cards in the Promos tab, with no purchase required and an expiry date on each one. The pack opens like any other and you can keep the card or sell it back. The difference is in what the sell-back pays.

Paid pack versus free pack, in Chalkboard's own words

Paid pack: “100% of the FMV is credited straight to your withdrawable Wallet balance.”

Free pack: the sell-back value is credited as “play-through funds, not as withdrawable funds,” and becomes withdrawable only after you use it — for example by buying and opening another pack.

This is the standard structure of a casino bonus, and it is the first time we have seen it stated this plainly in a rip product. It is not hidden — Chalkboard publishes it in a help article specifically about free packs, which is more than most platforms do with their promotional terms. But it means a free pack's value is not its face value. No multiplier or dollar threshold is published, so how much you must cycle through before the money is yours cannot be calculated from anything public.

We rank bonus offers by what they are actually worth on the bonus offers page, and a play-through-restricted credit sits well below a straight discount for exactly this reason.

Odds exist, but not where you can see them

Section 5.1 says the Collectible categories and associated statistics are disclosed before purchase, and the help centre says a pack page “may include” its price, the range of card values, featured or Signature Pulls, and odds. So the numbers are shown at the point of sale inside the app. None of them appear on any public page.

Two sentences in those documents deserve attention.

Section 5.1 warns that “the distribution among possible outcomes may not be, and is likely not to be, equal.” That is the same candid warning MintPull gives in capitals, and it is a fair one: it says that where a pack shows a value range, the outcomes inside that range are probably not evenly spread. It is also precisely the assumption our own midpoint estimates have to make when a platform publishes ranges without rates.

The help centre then adds that odds “can change as packs are purchased,” so the odds shown may differ on a later visit. That is honest, and it is a real problem for anyone trying to hold this category to account. A screenshot of a pack's odds is evidence about one moment, not about the pack. It is the same issue we hit on Arena Club, where not one card from the September checklist survived into October.

Terms worth knowing before you deposit

Credit where it is due

Three things here are better than the category norm, and a guide that only reported the unfavourable terms would be the wrong guide.

None of that resolves section 7.5. A 100% rate on a valuation its payer sets alone, finally and without appeal, is a promise whose value depends entirely on the payer's restraint.

If you use Chalkboard Pulls

Screenshot the pack's odds and value range before you buy, since both can change as packs are purchased, and screenshot the FMV at Reveal. Section 7.5 makes the valuation non-appealable, so the record you keep is the only record there is. Verify your identity before you buy anything you might want shipped, not during the 24-hour window. And note the $4 monthly inactivity fee if you are trying one pack and leaving.

If this has stopped feeling like fun, free and confidential help is available: call or text 1-800-GAMBLER.

Why this page has no rating

No pack prices and no odds are published on the web, so no expected value can be calculated — that is three of our five scoring inputs unavailable. The buyback terms are the best documented we have read, but we have not tested a withdrawal and have not compared a single Chalkboard FMV against a real sold price, which is the measurement that would make the 100% meaningful. Our methodology explains why we leave a cell empty rather than guess.

If you have used Chalkboard Pulls and have screenshots of in-app pack odds, or a buyback FMV you can compare against a comparable sale, we would like to see them.

Frequently asked

Does Chalkboard Pulls really pay 100% of a card's value?

Yes, as written, and the money can leave the platform. Section 7.1 of the Chalkboard Pulls Terms of Use provides “a credit of one hundred percent (100%) of that Collectible's FMV to Your Account,” and section 9.2 lets you “request withdrawal of available Buyback Credit to an eligible external payment method.” ACH withdrawals are processed through Aeropay, typically within ten business days. That is the clearest cash route we have read in this category. The catch is not the rate — it is who decides the number the rate is applied to.

Who decides what a Chalkboard card is worth?

Chalkboard does, and the decision cannot be appealed. Section 7.5 says “FMV is determined by Chalkboard in its sole discretion utilizing proprietary methodologies and market data” and that it is “final and non-appealable.” The help centre adds that Chalkboard's figure “may differ from third-party marketplaces or pricing services.” Section 7.6 states plainly that the buyback credit may be lower than what you paid for the pack. 100% of a number one party sets alone is not the same guarantee as 100% of a published market price.

How long do you have to decide on a Chalkboard pull?

One 24-hour period from the pack purchase (§7.3). If you do nothing, Chalkboard processes a Time-Based Buyback at 100% of FMV automatically and the card leaves your Binder. The clock can pause for pending identity verification, delayed shipping, or a lost, damaged or unavailable card. That matches Packed's one day and is far shorter than the indefinite vaulting Courtyard, Arena Club, Fanatics and Tilt Rips offer.

Does Chalkboard publish pack odds?

Not on the web. Section 5.1 says the Collectible categories and associated statistics are disclosed before purchase, and the help centre says a pack page “may include” its price, value range, featured pulls and odds. So the numbers exist inside the app. Nothing appears on any public page, so a buyer researching beforehand cannot see a single figure, and we cannot calculate an expected value. Section 5.1 also warns that “the distribution among possible outcomes may not be, and is likely not to be, equal.”

Are free packs on Chalkboard worth anything?

Less than they look. The help centre states that value sold back from a Free Pack is credited as “play-through funds, not as withdrawable funds,” and becomes withdrawable only after you use it — for example by buying and opening another pack. The same article confirms that for a paid pack, “100% of the FMV is credited straight to your withdrawable Wallet balance.” No multiplier or dollar threshold is published for the play-through, so the real cost of converting it cannot be calculated.

Who operates Chalkboard Pulls?

Taild Sports, Inc., trading as Chalkboard. Pulls sits inside the Chalkboard daily fantasy sports app rather than being a standalone rip site — the same structure as Pickem inside a social casino and Crown Rips inside a sweepstakes casino. Disputes go to individual arbitration under the JAMS rules with a class-action waiver (§18), after a required informal conference and 30 days of negotiation (§17.9), and there is a 30-day opt-out from arbitration.
